WEMIX

WEMIX is the coin of WEMIX3.0, a gaming-focused blockchain from the Korean game company Wemade. It pays fees and is used in games, staking and DeFi.

WEMIX3.0 is an EVM-compatible public blockchain built by a subsidiary of Wemade, a South Korean game developer. Its ecosystem includes the WEMIX PLAY game platform, a staking programme, the WEMIX.Fi DeFi services and WEMIX$, a stablecoin that was launched fully collateralised by USDC.

The network runs on Stake-based Proof of Authority. About 40 council members, each staking at least 1,500,000 WEMIX, produce blocks. Half of each block reward goes to these council partners and the rest to an ecosystem fund and maintenance costs. Holders can delegate WEMIX to a council node. The maximum supply is capped at 590 million WEMIX, and block rewards halve on a fixed schedule.

WEMIX has a troubled record. South Korean exchanges delisted it in December 2022 for misreported circulating supply and again in June 2025 after the foundation was slow to disclose a $6.2 million bridge hack. Courts refused to block both delistings. A former Wemade CEO was acquitted of market manipulation in July 2025. In July 2026 an attacker breached a contract linked to WEMIX$ and took about $724,000.
