About Reserve Rights
Reserve is a platform for token baskets called DTFs; RSR is its governance token, staked as first-loss cover and burned with protocol fees.
Reserve lets anyone create and hold a basket of tokenized assets as a single token, called a DTF. There are two kinds. Index DTFs track a set of assets, such as a basket of US-listed technology companies. Yield DTFs hold yield-bearing tokens and pass the yield on. The websites are operated by ABC Labs, which contributes to the protocol but says it does not control how it is used.
RSR is the governance token of the platform. Holders can stake RSR on a Yield DTF: their RSR covers the first loss if a collateral token defaults, and in return they receive part of the yield of that DTF. Holders can also lock RSR on an Index DTF to vote on it. Part of the fees of every Index DTF is used to market-buy RSR and burn it.
About 62.6 billion RSR circulate out of a fixed 100 billion. The token launched in May 2019. On 2 October 2026 DefiLlama showed about $39.9 million locked in the protocol.
