About Kamino

KMNO is the token of Kamino, a Solana DeFi protocol for lending, borrowing, liquidity vaults and leveraged yield.

Kamino is a decentralised finance protocol on Solana. It started with automated liquidity vaults and grew into a lending market where users deposit assets to earn interest and borrow against collateral. Its Multiply product uses borrowing to give leveraged exposure to yield-bearing assets.

Kamino earns by keeping a share (11% to 20%) of the interest borrowers pay, plus fees from liquidity vaults. In September 2026 it named a new chief executive and opened a New York office to lend against tokenised real-world assets.

KMNO launched on 30 April 2024 with a supply of 10 billion tokens. Holders stake it for boosted rewards and vote on the protocol. About 55% went to stakeholders, advisors and contributors, unlocking linearly after a one-year lockup.
