edgeX is a decentralised exchange for leveraged perpetual futures on crypto, stocks and forex; EDGE is its governance and staking token.

edgeX is a decentralised trading platform built around perpetual futures, leveraged contracts on crypto, commodities, stocks and forex with no expiry, plus some spot markets. It runs on its own execution layer designed for fast order matching and liquidation. Funding fees between long and short traders include an interest-rate component.

EDGE is the governance token. Holders vote on fees, listings and upgrades, and can stake EDGE with validators to earn a share of rewards from transaction fees. Of the 1 billion supply, 30% went to early users; the future reserve (30%), core contributors (25%), foundation and ecosystem tokens unlock over the coming years. About 350 million EDGE were circulating on 1 October 2026.

On 2 June 2026 EDGE fell 71% in about an hour. edgeX blamed coordinated selling by 174 addresses and offered refunds and a bounty; an on-chain investigator alleged insider control of a low float.
